Breast Reduction
Breast reduction (clinically known as reductive mastoplasty) is a surgical procedure to make the breast smaller. This is achieved by removing breast tissue, excess fat and adjacent skin to change the size, shape and weight of the breast.
Many women undergo this surgery as it can help relieve the pain and discomfort associated with large and heavy breasts.
A breast lift (mastopexy) can be performed simultaneously with a breast reduction if necessary. Breast reduction is certainly not a 'standard' procedure.
